“You’re so beautiful.”

We met a few days before the assault, he was really nice and a great person to talk to. He gave me no reason to suspect anything unusual. He had come over to my house and we talked in his car and listened to music. He got really aggressive and physical out of nowhere. I knew what he wanted but I told him no many times and all he said was, “You’re so beautiful,” then he aggressively raped me leaving my ribs, hips, and back bruised. I had a continuous migraine from my head being slammed into the door.

When he was done he told me to get out of the car and he drove away. When I reached out for help, I was told, “It isn’t rape unless you tell him to stop,” and I think that hurt worse than the rape itself.
